Bravado Results

We had some good results at the Bravado Jiu-Jitsu Open this past weekend. Kevin looked awesome in all his wins and lost by a slim judges decision in the finals of his division. Natalia took second in her division and the absolute. Julio fought a couple of giants in the heavyweight division and also managed second place. The rest of us that competed had some wins, some losses and gained plenty of good experience. As for me…I’m going to go work on flying arm bar defence…

Lots of colour on the mats these days…

Congratulations to all the people who got new belts over the weekend. Alliance Canada just keeps getting stronger and stronger. Here is a few pictures for anyone who couldn’t make it out on Sunday. Jeff also posted an awesome video of the event on his blog. Check it out at www.jeffjoslinmma.com

Absolute Champion!!

Natalia01
Natalia medaled in four divisions at the 2011 Ontario Open International JJ Championship this past weekend. She took first place in NoGi – Blue & over Absolute, first place in NoGi – Blue & over Light and second in Gi Absolute and Gi Light weight. Matt Brotman and Chris Watson both from Joslin’s and Tyler from London all took gold in their divisions. Dylan Routledge, Joe Martin, Blair Bravender got silver and Reid Harkness, David Mallett, Matt Melo, Christian Herrera-parks and Chris Watson got bronze. I saw some great fights from everyone who came out to compete and hopefully we can keep the momentum going into future tournements. Anyone thinking of competing keep in mind that Grappler’s Quest is only a few short weeks away.
